This is my first time opening a Woobles Advent Calendar, and I tried to remain as spoiler-free as possible beforehand so we could discover everything inside together! The only things I knew going in were that the calendar came in a Victorian house-shaped box and that one of the characters was an orca, which felt like a fairly random place to begin. 😂
⚠️ Spoiler warning: I open all 12 boxes in this video and reveal the entire calendar. If you’re planning to buy it and want to preserve the Advent surprise, you may want to skip this one!
This turned out to be a much more elaborate unboxing than I expected. There were 12 separate boxes to open, several mystery animals I struggled to identify, festive accessories, and a few surprises that weren’t crochet kits at all. After the unboxing, I checked the official spoiler page to learn what the animals actually were and see how accurately it represented everything inside.
This calendar has a very different format and aesthetic from the Hobbii Amigurumi Advent Calendar I unboxed this year. The Hobbii calendar contains four weekly projects whose patterns are released throughout December, while the Woobles calendar offers 12 separate surprises, and it turns out its crochet patterns are already available through the cards included with the kits.
And stay tuned for the future when I’ll share my results from making the advent kits! 🧶
