My 1st Pattern!: Part 2

Stack-a-rainbow mountain crochet amigurumi handmade toy made up of colored slices that stack up to form a mountain

Here’s part 2 of my 2-part series where I design my very first amigurumi pattern! I’m a beginner crocheter, and I never thought I’d be designing something myself so soon — but the 2025 Amigurumi.com Design Contest with a Rainbows theme inspired me to jump in. 🌈✨

In this video, I share my completed pattern that I’m entering in the design contest. I’m calling it “Stack-a-Rainbow Mountain 🌈🏔️”. Each colored slice is separate, and it can be played with in all kinds of different ways (as my 3-year-old can attest to)! ✨❤️ I talk through my entire process of creating the design, including sharing a full prototype version that I ended up redesigning, discussing lots of decisions that I made as I went, and highlighting some takeaways from this interesting and challenging experience. 💖
