Meet Emilio the Turtle, my seventh project, made from a Woobles learn-to-crochet kit!
This was a cute one and worked up decently quickly! There were 2 main pieces: the head and the body, and the body had some interesting and complicated parts on its bottom for the legs and tail in which you do chain stitches and crochet into them for the different parts all the way around. I think because it wasn’t so many different pieces that needed to be sewn on separately (ahem, looking at you Felix the Fox!) it went much more quickly, despite the fact that there were some new-to-me and somewhat complicated stitches. The Woobles videos were great and walked me through it all!
My main question here is: “Why is his head so big?!” ๐คฃ In real life, aren’t turtles’ shells really big and their heads are teeny tiny? But I guess it’s a cute look for a crocheted turtle. ๐๐ข๐ค
