Henri the Frog

Henri the frog crochet amigurumi plushie toy handmade craft finished object made from Woobles learn to crochet kit

Meet Henri the Frog, my second project, made from a Woobles learn-to-crochet kit!

I still watched all of the Woobles instruction videos to solidify my learning, but I was able to move much more quickly through them, and there were a lot of similarities with Kiki the Chick.

I tried to crochet tighter this time all the way through, and I also used way more stuffing. There are still small holes despite the tighter tension, and in the end it doesn’t look all that different than Kiki despite the extra stuffing, though they feel a bit different. I’ll keep experimenting.

Adding the eyes and mouth was a challenge! I tried to follow the instructions and make them symmetric, but they still came out a bit wonky. I noticed in the videos she wasn’t following the instructions perfectly for the placement, and I should also probably feel free to adjust if I think something else would look better. The mouth was supposed to span 4 stitches, so I’m not sure how to make it perfectly symmetrical when there’s no exact middle point to go through, though maybe I did it wrong. 😅 Lots to practice and learn! 🧶🐸🌈✨
